Why the Singles of the Eucharist website?

In the Catholic Church when a person feels called to bring individuals together to worship or honor God together, they don’t start their own Churches. Lay person organizations are founded by individuals or religious but are not their businesses or churches, but are known as Apostolates. The success of an Apostolate must come from God’s will and His Holy Spirit acting in the persons who facilitate and are members of the organization. Just as the Christian church becomes visible via the Magisterium and structure of the God's Holy Church on earth, the Catholic Church, the website for the Singles of the Eucharist (SoE) provides the means to make Catholic singles who share the identical mission of living a life centered on the Eucharist visible to the world. The website is the glue, so to say, to bring Catholic singles together to glorify God by living out the missions of the Apostolate (organization).

There are many parish based singles groups for social gatherings or spiritual growth and Apostolates for teen singles, married couples and for the twenty something Catholics to meet for various mission efforts. I believe Singles of the Eucharist fills a niche of bringing together working singles for a spiritual purpose and fills the need for a group that is also inclusive of singles over the age of 35 years. However, SoE is for any single person over the the age of 21 who loves the Blessed Sacrament. Singles of the Eucharist is not a dating site. Prospective spouses that are found through the membership of Singles of the Eucharist is welcomed, but not facilitated by the Apostolate. However, friendships that will facilitate spiritual growth in a life centered on the Eucharist will be facilitated.

The website will be developed to offer interactive features to facilitate dialogue between the members. Other members may only desire to live out the mission of evangelizing the Real Presence but may not be concerned with SoE gatherings or online interaction. Whatever the SoE member would like to do, is up to them and their response to the Holy Spirit working in and through them.

In addition to the community aspect of the website, the site will focus on providing information that inspires one to see the love and mercy of God, and how one can become Holy and live a life focused and centered on the Eucharist. We know that God's Mercy flows from the Eucharist, so Mercy and the Eucharist must be the predominant themes of the website. Encountering the Mercy of God in and from the Eucharist should lead to a lifelong journey to God where our sould become disposed to receive God's grace so we our interior and exterior lives can reflect our theological virtues of faith, hope and love.

Check back often as new pages are added and current pages revised. The basis for most of the pages have beem inspired by my learning in the Master's of Pastoral Theology program at Ave Maria University. Without that learning, this site would not be possible. I believe God led me to the IPT program in order to facilitate this site.
