Prayers for After Communion

ANIMA CHRISTI

Soul of Christ, make me holy. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from the side of Christ, wash me. Passion of Christ, make me strong. O good Jesus, hear me. Hide me within Your wounds. Let me never be separated from You. Deliver me from the wicked enemy. Call me at the hour of my death, And tell me to come to You, That with Your saints, I may praise You forever. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Lord god, I thank You through the Sacred Heart to Jesus, who is pleased to offer You on our behalf continuous thanksgiving in the Eucharist.

Thank you for all Your benefits, general as well as special: for creation, redemption, the sacraments; and especially for the Holy Eucharist, and for all the graces You have given me.

I wish to thank You, Lord Jesus, on behalf of myself and of all creatures, and to make amends to You, as far as I am able, for the ingratitude of many, of which you complain so vehemently. I wish that I were able to direct the hearts andminds of all to You and, together with them and for them, love Your perfectly in return just as You rightly expect.

The Divine Praises

Blessed be God.
Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Blessed be the name of Jesus.
Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the paraclete.
Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.
Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception.
Blessed be her glorious Assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
Blessed be Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in His angels and in His Saints.

May the heart of Jesus, in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time. Amen.
