Mystery of Love for the single
ETERNAL LIFE
PRAYER LIFE
A Prayer for those
who live alone
I live alone, dear Jesus,
stay by my side, in all my
needs, please be my guide.
Grant me good health, for
that I pray, to carry on my
work each day. Keep pure my
mind, my thoughs and deeds.
Help me be kind, to meet others'
needs. Save me from harm and
malicious tongues, from pain
and fear and evil ones.
When I am sick, in need of
care, O my Jesus, I pray, that
you be near. When I am low
or in despair, lift up my
heart and hear my prayer.
I live alone, dear Jesus, yet
I have no fear, because I
know that You are near.
Amen

SINGLE LIFE
Helpful advice from the Saints and our Shepherds of the Church in dealing with everyday life.
St. Francis de Sales is known for the advice he gave to people living in the world. Exerpted from two his letters. Applicable as much to us:
"To live in truth - and not in untruth - is to lead a life entirely conformed to naked and simple faith according to the operations of grace and not of nature."
"This is the grand truth: we must look at what God wants, and when we know it we must try to do it joyfully or at least courageously. And not only that, but we must love this will of God, and the obligation that comes from it, were it that we must keep pigs all or life and do the most abject things in the world. For in what sauce God puts us, it should be all one. It is the bull's-eye of perfection at which all of us must aim; and he who gets nearest gets the prize."
"To be dissatisfied and fret about the world when we must of necessity be in it, is a great temptation. God's providence is wiser than we. We fancy that by changing our ships, we shall get on better; yes, if we change ourselves." See: "Thy Will be Done. Letters to persons in the World". 1995, Sophia Institute Press.
